Since opening in 2015, Studio 48 has been a place where fun and learning go hand in hand, making art accessible and enjoyable for everyone. With over 10 years of teaching experience, our friendly and talented instructors focus on making art engaging for all.

We offer a wide variety of art classes, courses, and events designed for all ages and skill levels— whether you're just starting out or already an experienced artist. Our classes include drawing, painting, crafts, design, animation, and digital art, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Join our term-time art clubs and holiday camps for children aged 6 and up, or enjoy our flexible evening and daytime classes tailored for adults.

We also host special celebrations for both kids and adults—birthdays, hen-dos, corporate events, and more! Whether you prefer to work in our cosy studio (which comfortably accommodates up to 20 participants and is fully equipped with materials), or would like us to bring the art experience to your location, we make art fun and accessible wherever you are.

Art for Adults

Discover your inner artist with our adult art classes, designed for all skill levels in a supportive, artist-led environment. Whether you're a beginner or more experienced, explore diverse mediums and techniques in a relaxed setting.

We offer a variety of classes throughout the week, with both morning and evening sessions to fit your schedule. You can join a full course or drop in for individual sessions at your convenience. All materials, personalised guidance, drinks, snacks, and aprons are included. Plus, you'll leave your session with beautiful artwork to take home!

Our cosy Leith studio is the perfect creative space, but we can also bring the art to you. We host Arty Parties at Studio 48 and beyond to celebrate your special occasions—perfect for birthdays, corporate events, hen dos or just a fun day out. Art For kids

Our classes are designed to inspire and engage young artists, led by passionate, qualified instructors in a welcoming environment. Kids can explore painting, sculpture, digital art, and more, building confidence and making friends along the way.

We offer term-time classes throughout the week, with trials and drop-ins available. During holidays, enjoy full-day art camps filled with fun activities. We also host birthday parties with plenty of creative options to celebrate your child's special day.

My daughters (8 and 10) did a camp at Studio 48 for one of the school holidays and were thrilled with all the diverse activities they got to do and what they learned - I have never seen them so switched on from a camp - they came home and wanted to show us how they learned to draw manga and tell us all about it.
