Family Art sessions

Our family-friendly art sessions are fun, relaxed, and suitable for all ages and skill levels. They’re a great way to spend creative time together, with a new project to enjoy as a family. Our welcoming studio is filled with art materials and friendly instructors who are on hand throughout the session to offer guidance and support.

All materials and supplies are included, along with aprons, snacks, and warm drinks, so you can simply turn up and get creative! Families can experiment, have fun, and create their own unique artwork to take home.

Our family sessions are designed to make art accessible and enjoyable for everyone, with under-16s receiving half-price admission when booked with an adult ticket. We’re conveniently located in Leith, with free parking available on the premises.

  • The sessions have a relaxed, open format, with the teacher available for support throughout and all supplies included. Our teachers begin each session with a brief demo or overview, then let everyone create their own unique pieces. Ideal for those who enjoy exploring at their own pace!

  • Our family-friendly art sessions are fun, relaxed, and suitable for all ages and skill levels. Under-16s receive half-price admission when booked with an adult ticket. If your child will need a highchair, please let us know before the session.

    Please note: Children must remain with their accompanying adult throughout the session. These are family activities rather than drop-off sessions.

  • Just bring your creative spirit - everything else is taken care of! In our classes, you'll find all supplies and materials included, along with complimentary beverages and snacks to keep you refreshed. We provide aprons to protect your clothes, ensuring you can focus on your creativity in a warm and welcoming studio atmosphere. Plus, you'll leave with a unique creation of your own to take home!

  • You can find us at Studio 48 on 62 Newhaven Road (Unit 7) Edinburgh EH6 5QB. There’s convenient on-street parking available, or you can use the car park accessible through the wee vennel off Newhaven Road. The entrance to our studio is off the main street (Newhaven Road) through the vennel, marked by a blue door to the left of the car park.

    Once you enter, you’ll find us up the stairs on the first floor. Please note, there are no elevators in the building. Studio 48 has two toilets and drinking water is always available.

  • You may cancel or reschedule your session up to 7 days in advance by simply sending us an email. We can provide a refund to your account, reschedule you to another available class, or issue a voucher code for a future class.

    If a class must be cancelled due to not meeting minimum attendance requirements or unforeseen circumstances, such as bad weather, we will ensure your payment is fully refunded.
